Andrew Brugal Baldwin

Let's Meet Andrew

Andrew Brugal Baldwin was born on June 18th, 1991 in Miami, Florida to Dr. Julia Baldwin & Andres Brugal II. Andrew passed away on August 26, 2008 at the young age of seventeen-years-old from Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma cancer, after a kidney transplant five years earlier. He was an extremely philanthropic young man and donated his time to Miami Children’s Hospital, whereby he was the youngest board member serving on the Family Advisory Council.

 

During his short lifetime Andrew was a true humanitarian, who perpetually sought out to promote human welfare. Andrew, cared deeply about  education and was a straight A student since elementary grades at American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida. He was awarded the Patriot Award annually whilst attending AH and The Spirit of The Law Award. Andrew was accepted into three Ivy League Universities where he dreamed in pursuing his career in criminal law. People drew to him, because of his non-judgmental and nurturing personality.  

 

Andrew was a Youth Leader/Pastor and part of the worship team at Sanctuary Ministries where he played the drums and preached regularly. He wrote two books and published articles regarding life experiences, had various appearances on television and interviews about his life and accomplishments as it pertained to his philanthropic & humanitarian work globally. He was actively involved in stopping genocide in Darfur, Africa.

 

Andrew and his dear friend and mentor Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. “The Rock” worked arduously at Miami Children’s Hospital to better inpatient quality of life. His legacy will eternally endure and bequeath priceless and invaluable lessons and values. 

 

His strength and kindness were Godly. He will forever be admired and adored.
